Our unique design has a reputation for being highly reliable and extremely popular for those in need of determining conveyor belt speeds for Weightometers along with Belt Under Speed detection that has traditionally used tail drum mounted proximity sensors.

Instro GP’s Belt Under Speed Trailing Arm ("BUSTA") assemblies are a variant of the Weightometer Tachometer/Generator belt speed sensing units that incorporate a proximity sensor (customer specified) embedded within the stainless steel housing and fully adjustable trailing arm which incorporates a sealed bearing arrangement and highly durable either rubber or nylon drive wheel that can be protected by a mud shield which improves the longevity of service life.

We have customers that have successfully used these devices which have been in place for over 10-15 years with no sign of failure. They had been previously using the traditional industry standard welded flag / ring gear mounted proxy sensors which were often found to be failing on an almost weekly basis.

While there may be some initial cost to purchase the product, it has proven time and again that it can have huge savings due to intermittent plant availability and maintenance related shut down issues.
